Get to Know Us: The Heart of CrossWay Ministries

CrossWay Ministries is a mission church affiliated with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN), a denomination that believes the entire Bible to be completely and equally inspired, serving as the authoritative written Word of God. Located in Andalusia, Alabama, CrossWay Ministries is a spirit-filled Pentecostal church composed of individuals who, despite their imperfections, are devoted to loving a perfect Savior. The church's mission is to lead as many people as possible to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

CrossWay Ministries offers a variety of programs and services to support spiritual growth and community engagement. These include regular worship services, Bible studies, and community outreach initiatives. The church is located at 19696 US Highway 84 E, Andalusia, AL 36420.

Our Beliefs

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible.

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor.

We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded by God for all and necessary for the forgiveness of sins.

We believe that justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

We believe in sanctification following the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ, through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.

We believe that holiness is God’s standard of living for His people.

We believe in the baptism with the Holy Ghost following a clean heart.

We believe in speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

We believe in water baptism by immersion, and that all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

We believe that divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

We believe in the observance of the Lord's Supper and the washing of the saints’ feet.

We believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus: first, to resurrect the righteous dead and catch away the living saints to Him in the air; second, to reign on the earth for a thousand years.

We believe in the bodily resurrection, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

THE STEWART FAMILY

Pastor Derrick and Candace Stewart

Pastor Derrick and Candace Stewart founded CrossWay Ministries in 2009 with a vision and heart to see people walking in their destiny. By connecting people to Christ, the church, and their call, they see this life mission become a living reality.  ​  Their passion for inspiring others to discover their personal strengths is driven toward impacting the spirituality of their community and the entire world. 

Pastor Derrick is a leader and speaker who equips and empowers ministry leaders to take hold of God’s calling on their lives with an emphasis on the importance of maintaining Christ-like integrity and character. Pastor Derrick has a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Faulkner university and has a deep heritage in the Church of God of which he is a licensed minister since 2006. 

Candace has a heart to see God’s house and His people grow and flourish. In addition to leading CrossWay as Co-Pastor, she too has a rich ministry heritage in the church of God and a personal depth in Christ. She boldly encourages and equips others to run in their God-given callings. Candace has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Troy University.   

Their greatest joys in life are their talented children, who are actively involved in and instrumental to the building of CrossWay: Bryce, Brinnley, Brody, and Brayden 

Together this family has a heart for the community, to see lives changed, hearts renewed, and sinners come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
